On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate three groundbreaking highway projects in Odisha, totaling Rs. 2045 crores. These projects represent a shared commitment to promoting economic growth and connectivity.
In Sambalpur Odisha PM Modi will unveil three NH projects.
These projects include the 24.100-kilometer Four Laning of Biramitrapur to Brahmani Bypass End Section of NH-143, which was developed for Rs. 679 Crores; the 47-kilometer Four Laning of Brahmani Bypass End to Rajamunda Section of NH-143, which was invested in at Rs. 538 Crores in the Sundargarh District; and the 41.710-kilometer Four Laning of Rimuli to Koida Section of NH-520, which was developed for Rs. 828 Crores in the Keonjhar district of the state of Odisha.
The NH-143 highway segments that span the Brahmani River from Biramitrapur to Brahmani Bypass and from Brahmani Bypass End to Rajamunda feature a noteworthy 4-lane flyover at Vedvyas as well as a much-anticipated 6-lane major bridge that spans 473 meters.
Improved connectivity to Jharkhand State and the economic heart of the region, Rourkela Steel City, is made possible by the project. It will facilitate the flow of people and goods between the two states by cutting down on travel time.
It would also make it easier for traffic to travel along the Biju Expressway (SH-10) to the District Headquarters and Jharsuguda Airport.
The vital link between the main iron mining regions run by major corporations like TATA Group, JSW, JSPL, Arcelor Mittal, Rungta Mines, and SAIL Mines is the Four Laning of Rimuli to Koida Section of NH-520.
By creating a key link between these mines and Rourkela, the highway would not only improve the effectiveness of mineral transportation but also fortify the relationship between the mining communities and the industrial center, encouraging cooperation and development.
